John
was born and raised in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and attended Mount
Saint Charles Academy, graduating in 1972. He received his Bachelor
of Arts degree from Rhode Island College in 1975 and his Master
of Arts Degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1976. He then
worked in the banking industry in Rhode Island and resided there
until moving to Concord, New Hampshire in 1980 to begin law school
at the Franklin Pierce Law Center, receiving a Juris Doctorate in
1983.
He began working for Stephen R. Goldman, P.A. in 1984
as an Associate, becoming a Partner in the firm of Goldman and LeBrun,
P.A. in 1990. His primary areas of practice are in Civil Litigation,
Commercial Law, Collection Law, Bankruptcy Law, Divorce and Family
Law and Mental Health Law. John has served as a Hearings Officer
at the Department of Education in New Hampshire since 1990 presiding
over Special Education and State Board of Education disputes. John
served as a Special Justice in the Concord District Court from 1986
until 1995, presiding over Involuntary Emergency Admission Hearings.
He also has extensive experience in Juvenile Law matters, including
representing the Division for Children, Youth and Families for a
number of years and then advocating on behalf of parents and children
in proceedings in both the District and Probate Courts. John is
a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, Merrimack County
Bar Association and Commercial Law League of America.
He is married to Deborah C. LeBrun and has two children, Emily,
presently a senior at John Stark High School and Audrey, presently
a junior at John Stark High School. John is an avid football and
hockey fan and enjoys music, travel and spending time with his family
and friends.
