Steve grew up in Revere, Massachusetts, and attended Boston State College where he served as President of his class and graduated with honors. He arrived in New Hampshire in 1973 to attend law school as part of the charter class of Franklin Pierce Law Center receiving a Juris Doctor in 1976. He entered private practice in 1976 and established his own firm in 1978, which ultimately evolved into Goldman & LeBrun. His primary areas of practice are in civil litigation, including Personal Injury, Divorce and Probate. Steve has successfully litigated numerous complex and significant cases, and has received some of New Hampshire's most substantial recoveries.

He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, NH Trial Lawyers, American Trial Lawyers Association, Commercial Law League and the Merrimack County Bar Association.

Steve is married to Ann Goldman and has two children: Andrew who is a student at Wesleyan University, and Lauren who attends Syracuse University. He has served in leadership roles on numerous community boards, including Concord Youth Hockey, Concord American Little League and Concord Hospital, where he was the Founding Chairman of the Concord Hosptial Golf Tournament which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the cardiac care unit of the hospital.

Steve is an avid Red Sox fan and enjoys golf, travel and music.
